MCLEAN, Va., Dec. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE: NOC) Information Systems sector presented Supplier Excellence Awards to 24 suppliers Dec. 5 as part of its annual Supplier Recognition Program.

The Supplier Recognition Program recognizes and incentivizes suppliers to continuously provide outstanding support to the company and the sector. Each company, selected from more than 5,000 Information Systems sector suppliers, was evaluated on five categories: schedule, management, technical, financial and quality.

Awards were presented in four categories: development, production, services and socio-economic. Of the suppliers recognized, 15 were small businesses, six of which were owned by women, and four are veteran-owned.
