Northrop Grumman Honors Top Suppliers at Annual Awards Ceremony

REDONDO BEACH, Calif., April 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has honored 63 top-performing supplier companies from the United States, Canada and Switzerland at its annual supplier awards ceremony, held April 18 in Los Angeles.

The awards recognize suppliers for achieving distinction in product quality, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction and robust, lean processes. The honored suppliers provide Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems with products ranging from aircraft parts and components to complex spacecraft electronic subsystems, as well as everyday services.

Northrop Grumman presented awards in two categories: Platinum Source Preferred and Suppliers of the Year. Twenty-eight small businesses were honored, including five small disadvantaged owned businesses as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The Supplier of the Year program recognizes suppliers in seven categories: special recognition, non-production, research and development, subcontracts, small business, production operations and procurement. To be considered, a company must demonstrate consistently superior performance and quality in delivering products or services.
