Northrop Grumman Awarded United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team Contract

MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has been awarded a contract by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to provide operational services to the United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT). This single award indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract is for five years and is valued at up to $350 million.

US-CERT was created to protect the nation's Internet infrastructure by coordinating defense against and response to cyber attacks. It is responsible for analyzing and reducing cyber threats and vulnerabilities, disseminating cyber threat warning information, and coordinating incident response activities between the federal government, intelligence community, international partners, state and local government, law enforcement and the private sector.
